In the minor softball tournament, Williamsport Area defeated Loyalsock, 13-0, and Clinton defeated Hepburn Lycoming, 8-6, as both teams advanced to the winners’ bracket final. The two teams play in the winners’ bracket final on Thursday at South Williamsport.

With the loss, Loyalsock falls into the losers’ bracket to face Jersey Shore in an elimination game at Clinton today. The winner of that game will face Hepburn-Lycoming at Loyalsock on Wednesday in an elimination game.

The District 12 championship in the minor softball tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5, at Lycoming College.

Jenna Houseknecht pitched two stints of no-hit ball and scored 4 times as Williamsport Area beat Hepburn-South to reach the District 12 major softball final tonight vs Clinton. That game, and a possible “if” game Wednesday, are both at Lycoming.

In the major baseball division, Muncy defeated GSV, 4-3, to advance to the winners’ bracket final on Wednesday, July 6, at Keystone against Keystone. Keystone defeated Montoursville, 6-0.

Montoursville and GSV both fall into the losers’ bracket and play elimination games. GSV will face the winner of Williamsport Area/Loyalsock at Keystone on Thursday and Montoursville will play the winner of Hepburn-Lycoming/South at East Lycoming on Friday.

The District 12 championship in the major baseball division is scheduled for Friday, July 8, at Volunteer Stadium.
