Burrow’s new Index Collection features a Shaker-inspired Walnut bookcase that can be expanded unit by unit with hardware that’s included.
NEW YORK – E-commerce luxury furniture brand Burrow a new bookcase, coffee table, console, desk and stacking stools that are a part of the company’s new Index collection.
Each piece features high-quality craftsmanship precision milled from solid ash, a hardwood that comes from responsibly managed forests, and durable engineered wood, with expert joinery that reflects an appreciation of careful design and simplicity, according to the company.
The collection is designed to showcase personal items, books, plants, and décor in a unique way, and it’s the perfect option for those who want stylish storage without the hassle of hanging.
The bookcase pairs Shaker-inspired woodworking with easy setup, and is available in modules of one, two or three which can be expanded and/or connected unit by unit with included hardware. Available in either walnut or oak, the bookcase ranges from $895 to $2,685.
The coffee table stands apart from more European mid-century designs with a generous lower shelf and durably engineered wood that is available in either walnut or oak and retails for $595.
An alternative to the traditional closed credenza, the console offers an option for putting items on display. Originally conceived as a minimalist media console to go under the TV, the agnostic shape can go behind a sofa, in an entryway, against a wall or even in the middle of the room as a divider. The console is available in walnut or oak and is priced at $795.
The desk extends the simple carpentry of the rest of the collection into a compact writer’s desk that works in an apartment or in a work-from-home nook. The desk has a hidden pocket shelf for keeping a laptop or keyboard and trackpad out of sight and an open back shelf to seamlessly thread charging cables. It’s scaled to fit a true task chair or to match with the Index stool and is available in either walnut or oak while retailing for $595.
Inspired by the pure, restrained designs of the Shaker movement, the stacking stool can be used as a footstool in the kitchen, as side tables in the bedroom, or as a plant stand or simple seating option. It’s available in walnut or oak and runs from $195 to $780.
The storage system pairs well with Burrow’s shelving system, according to the company. Although, the shelving looks simple, the company said its carpentry allows users to mount wall shelving in 15 minutes by using eight screws. The shelves can be arranged horizontally, vertically or in a grid to create various configurations.
